KING, MARY TERESA - Born Charlottetown, PE - 1920-2011 - The death of Mary Teresa King of Fredericton occurred at the D.E.C.H on Wednesday, the 19th of October 2011. Mary was the daughter of the late Emilie (Gauthier) and Joseph Gallant of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Survived by children, Stuart J. (Cathy Plester) Brampton, Ontario and Betty Ann (Gary Ritchie) of Fredericton and Greg (Judy Gallie) of Durham Bridge. Six grandchildren, Mike (Julie), Mark (Tracey) and Trevor (Lindsay) Moulton, James, Tammy and Lisa Plester. Fifteen great grandchildren and several extended family members. She was known to many as Nana Mary. Predeceased by husband, Joseph F. King, two sons, infant James Edward and Douglas Alan. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her siblings, Reginald, Wilfred, Clarence, James, Laura, Mable and Bertha. A lifelong homemaker, she was an avid bowler until her 85th year. She loved to play cards and scrabble. A die hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan she loved hockey and baseball.
Visitation will be held at McAdams Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton on Friday, October 21st, 2011 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held from J.A. McAdam's Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Fr. Monte Peters officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael, Mark, Trevor Moulton, Glendon Gorman, Michael Lint and family friend Gary Foster. For those who wish, to make a donation in memory of Mary or in lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
