The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at his late residence on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 of John Robert "Wensel" Harris of Chelton, P.E.I. aged 80 years. Wensel was born on Feb. 28, 1931 in O'Leary, P.E.I., to his late parents Isaac and Estella (nee Morrell) Harris. Beloved husband of Velda (nee Arsenault) Harris and loving father of Kim (Scott) Jay, Michael (Kelly) of AB., Wensel (Janice), Krista (Spencer) Millman, Kent (Melissa) of N.S. and Nicholas (Marilyn). Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Sarah, Kristopher and John Patrick Jay, Justin, Megan and Kayla Harris, Samantha, Lucas Harris and their mother Leann, Dylan and Molly Millman, Riley and Dryden and his great-grand daughter Amelia. Besides his parents, Wensel was predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Sterling and Basil in the Second World War. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, Oct. 22 for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay. Because of the love for his pets, memorial donations in Wensel's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
