MELVIN, Margaret Teresa — Passed away suddenly, but peacefully on Friday, December 12, aged 88 years. Predeceased by her parents, Ann and Peter Colbert; daughter Joan Gatherall (John); sisters: Annie Tee, Mary Elizabeth Gatherall, Amelia Colbert (Matt); brothers: Paddy Ryan, twin, Tom Colbert (Nellie), Michael Colbert and Gerald Colbert (Margie). Leaving to mourn her sons Michael (Ella), Peter (Margie) and daughter Wynnann (John). Grandchildren Joanmarie (Keith), Tony and Gerry Gatherall, Justin, Rebecca and Jarrett Melvin, Jessica and Abigale Cross and Braedon Melvin; great-grandchildren Emily, Molly and Maggie Houlihan and Zachary and Kaitlyn Gatherall. She also leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends, including close friend and homecare worker, Mildren Renouf. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation on Sunday, December 14 from 2 to 9 p.m. and Monday, December 15 from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, December 16 at 11 a.m. from St. Michael’s R.C. Church, St. Michael’s. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, St. Michael’s. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Church Restoration fund.
