It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Marie Graham at the Inverary Manor, Inverness. C.B.
Born and raised at Northside East Bay, Rita was the daughter of the late Angus and Louella MacIsaac.
Rita is survived by her son, Michael; brother, Bro. Pius MacIsaac S.A. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband, Ronald; daughter, Lillian; brothers, Donald and Joe and sisters, Mary and Winnifred.
Before moving to Inverness, Rita and Rannie lived on the Shore Road in Port Hood for over 50 years. Rita loved company and she and Rannie entertained many friends and relatives at their home.
Rita grew up surrounded by Scottish music, and so enjoyed going to the concerts. She was also, at one time an active member of the Port Hood Historical Society.
A woman of great faith, Rita was a charter member of the C.W.L.
Rita was a “great lady” and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held in Port Hood and Area Resting Place on Tuesday Oct. 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday in St. Peter’s Church, Port Hood at 2 p.m. with Fr. Vincent VanZutphen officiating, burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Inverary Manor, Inverness, or to St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery Fund, Port Hood.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bernie MacLean and all the staff at the Inverary Manor for the loving care given to Rita. Special thanks to MaryAnn MacDonald for all her wonderful prayers and friendship.
