James Brogan

BROGAN, JAMES (JIM) G. - James (Jim) George Brogan of Fredericton, N.B., passed away at the young age of 63 on October 22, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born in Minto, N.B., son of the late John and Iona (Kelley) Brogan. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dawn Marie (Kennedy); two daughters, Jackie (Sheldon) Hay of Fredericton and Marcie (Shawn) Campbell of Riverview and four grandchildren; Max Hay, Lucas, Julia and Rebecca Campbell as well as Jim’s only brother, Robert (Eileen) Brogan of Liverpool, N.S. and four nieces, Kelly, Karen, Kim and Kathy and their families. Jim graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from U.N.B. in 1970. He began his career with Ontario Hydro and after 9 years, relocated back to New Brunswick, where he held a variety of management positions with NB Power until he retired in 2004 as Vice President of Generation.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from Smythe Street Cathedral, 913 Smythe St., Fredericton. Interment in the Redbank Cemetery, Chipman, N.B. at 2:00 P.M.
