James "Keith" Mawhinney
MAWHINNEY, JAMES "KEITH" - James “Keith” Mawhinney of Gaspereau Forks, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 22nd, 2011 at the age of 76. Born on August 1st, 1935, son of the late Clarence and Winifred (Teare) Mawhinney. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Stevenson); sons, Neil (Dianne Purdie) of Belleville ON and Alan (Laura) of Burlington, ON; daughter, Kelly Mawhinney (Steven Irwin) of Toronto; brother, Bud (Lydie) Mawhinney of Fredericton, NB; sister, Pat Shewchuk (Rod) of Kenora, ON; step-mother, Joan Mawhinney of Saint John, NB, grandchildren, Liam, Erin and Luke Mawhinney; nieces nephews and cousins. Keith was predeceased by his sisters, Joyce Cleveland. Keith was a teacher, coach and mentor for 38 years to many young people.
Resting at Chipman Funeral Home and Cremation Centre with visitation on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A private funeral service will be held from the Chipman Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011 at 2:00 pm, Pastor David Egers officiating. Interment will be private. A trust fund will be set up with the Bank of Nova Scotia in Chipman, NB for the Chipman youth, sports and activities. Donations may be placed at Chipman Funeral Home.
