BURNES, GEORGE "TOM" - George "Tom" Burnes, 79, of Pointe du Chêne, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital. Born March 27, 1932 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Russell and Zelda (Wilson) Burnes. During his retirement Tom enjoyed drawing, gardening and boating. The last surviving member of his immediate family he will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Violet (Hubbard) Burnes; their two sons: Daniel of Pointe du Chêne and David of Grand Barachois and by several nephews and nieces. Tom was predeceased by a sister Lois and by brothers: Jack and Richard.

The funeral service will be held at Frenette Funeral Home, Shediac on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 3p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Pointe du Chêne.
