Martha Ann (Herney) Treige, 39, passed away peacefully, with her loving husband, family and friends by her side, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Oct. 21, 2011.
Martha was the daughter of Louise Poulette and the late Louis ‘O Boy’ Herney.
She survived by her loving husband, David Treige; her sons, Kirk Peck Jr. and Louis Peck; her mother, Louise Poulette; her sister, Wanita (Clark) Paul; her brothers, Mathew (Tracey Young) Herney, Steven Herney, George (Natashia Sylliboy) Herney; many neices and nephews and four godchildren, Maynard Young Jr., Morgan Herney, Ashley Cabot and Raylene Cabot.
Martha was a loving wife and mother, she was fun loving and helpful to her family and friends; she loved dancing and won various dance competitions.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Tara Herney; her father Louis ‘O Boy’ Herney and two sisters, Mary Madeline Herney (in fancy) and Catherine Herney.
Visitation will take place in the Gabriel centre after 7 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 24). Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10.30 a.m., in Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.
