HOLDER, Thomas Morgan, 82, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building, QEII. Born in Shelburne, he was a son of the late John and Gladys (Wournell) Holder. Thomas was in the service for many years and then went to work for CNR, later returning to DND until his retirement. He will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten by his wife, Rose (Muise); son, Paul (Joy), Timberlea; daughter, Dale Bonin (Sam), Lakeside; grandchildren, Krista, Anthony, Raymond and Tiffany; great-granddaughters, Alexa and Alivea; stepmother, Hilda Levy, Jordan Falls; sisters, Juanita Los (Anton), Eastern Passage; Verlie Hopper, Gays River; Linda Perry (Joseph), Jordan Falls; step-brother, Robert Bradley (Nancy), Sackville; stepsister, Harriett Cockraine (John), Windsor; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Ray; brother, John; brother-in-law, Doug. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Thomas’ wishes, there was no visitation. A funeral mass was held on Thursday, October 20, from St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Roman Catholic Church, Father Joe MacKinnon officiating.
