HOLMES, JANET JOAN - 1954-2011 - The death of Janet Joan Holmes, 57, of Moncton and formerly of Sackville occurred suddenly at the Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Born in Sackville, Janet was a daughter of Ronald and Mildred (Harper) Holmes. Janet had been raised by her grandmother, the late Rheta Holmes of Sackville. She was a member of the Parkside Baptist Church, Moncton and formerly a member of the Main Street Baptist Church, Sackville. Always active, Janet enjoyed family gatherings and a good laugh. Janet will be sadly missed by her father Ronald, Moncton and her mother Mildred, Sackville; sisters, Sally (Robert) Walton, Moncton and Joan (Kevin) Lee, Sackville; a brother Gary Hewitt, Sackville; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Rheta.
Janet's arrangements have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25 from 12 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm. Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. Janet will be interred at the Sackville Cemetery following the service.
