Passed away peacefully in Kamloops B.C on October 22nd, 2011, Norman Kipnis, 89 years old.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Pamela (nee Linder), daughter Wendy (Nick Sargent), sons Evan (Michele Newhook) and Christopher (Kit) (Dana Hornibrook); grandchildren Aiden, Chloe and Timo Sargent, Zev and Gabe Kipnis, Jonah and Bryn Kipnis. Also leaving to mourn a large number of family and friends in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

A WWII veteran with the B. C. Royal 28th Canadian Armoured Regiment, Norman became a professional mining engineer after the War. After working in Northern Ontario and Mexico, Norman retired from the Newfoundland Department of Mines and Energy in 1987. Norman was an avid sailor and a long time member of the Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club.

A short ceremony Celebrating his Life will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Kamloops at noon on Thursday, October 27th. No flowers please. Donations in Norman's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
