BURTON, Duncan - 74, of Wolfville, Kings County, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kent, England, he was a son of the late Edward and Agnes (Walker) Burton. He received his education in Mechanical Engineering with DeHavilland Aerospace. He retired from the Pulp and Paper industry. He was an avid model airplane builder and was a member of the Wings of Wellington Model Airplane Flying Club. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores (Burdeny) Burton; a daughter, Sarah Burton, London, England; a son, Richard Burton, Victoria, British Columbia and a granddaughter, Portia Burton. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville and there was no visitation by request. A celebration of Duncan’s life and reception was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, The Reverend Robin Brown-Hewitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Wolfville Library or the Salvation Army - Kentville Citadel.
