The death occurred at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 of Dorothea Gallant (nee Trainor) of St. Patrick’s, age 98. Dorothea was the wife of the late John Angus Gallant. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jean (MacIsaac) Trainor and grew up in the home of Minnie and Peter Goodman. She is survived by her son, Doug (Anne) Gallant, N.B.; grandchildren David, Lynn, Donna, Michael, Kevin, Brian, David and Debbie; several great-grandchildren; and by her daughter-in-law, Marjorie. Besides her husband, Angus, and her parents, Dorothea was predeceased by her son, Peter Louis; daughter, Evelyn; and granddaughter, Donna. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 9:30 -10:30 a.m., then to St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Anne’s Church Cemetery.
