WENDLAND, Delilah Lillian (Gregory) – 83, of Wamego, Kansas, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Wendlandrn was born October 21st, 1925 in Haystack, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Gregory. She married Alvin O. Wendland, in 1956 at the Anglican Cathedral in St. John’s, N.L.. She came to the United States in June of 1956 and became an American Citizen in 1960. She is survived by her husband, Alvin O. Wendland,a daughter Debra Newton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, son Mark Wendland and wife Judy of Topeka, Kansas, three grandchildren, Amanda Newton, Christian Wendland and Jarrett Wendland. She is also survived by two sisters, Hilda Slade and Charlotte Squires, and a brother, Steven Gregory all of St. John’s, N.L. and many other family members. She was preceded in death by son Stanley Gregory Wendland in 1983, brother Norman Gregory, St. John’s, N.L. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
