
Gary Carde
It is with great sadness that the family of Gary Stephen Carde, 49, of River Hebert announces his sudden passing at his home on Thursday, October 27, 2011.
Born on December 15, 1961 in Amherst he was a son of Bernice (White) Carde and the late George Carde.
Gary was a loving and caring person who had a heart of gold. He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 73.
Gary loved to fish and grow a fabulous garden, but his biggest passion was reading.
Gary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his mother, Bernice; his son, Brandon (Jessica); his chosen son, Bradley; special grandson, Brayden; four siblings, Debbie (Gerald) VanSnick, Geordie, Cathy (Eddie Estabrooks) Hoeg and baby brother, David (Tanya); special friend, Tammy Patterson; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his father, George, Gary was predeceased by three infant siblings, Nancy, Bonnie and Charles.
Cremation has taken place.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906).
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. from Trinity United Church in River Hebert with Keith Felwyn- Smith (DLM) officiating. Reception will follow after the service. Interment will take place in the River Hebert Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the LA Animal Shelter or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
