MacLELLAN’S MOUNTAIN – David Alexander MacDonald, 68, MacLellan’s Mountian, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, October 30, 2011.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Alex and Bertha (Kearley) MacDonald.
He had been employed with Michelin for 29 years. David enjoyed the great outdoors, cutting wood, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth “Beth” (MacMillian) MacDonald; children: Alex (Pam) MacDonald, New Maryland, NB; Melanie Roberts, MacLellan’s Mountain; David Michael (Lindsay) MacDonald, Calgary, Alta.; grandchildren: Julia and Christina MacDonald; Emily, Blake, Blair Roberts; brothers: Alan (Carol) MacDonald, New Glasgow; Harold (Sam) MacDonald, Ont.; Robert “Bob” (Jean) MacDonald, Ont.; Dan MacDonald, New Glasgow.
He was predeceased by a sister Joan Bowen.
The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
