SURETTE, EMERY - 1945 - 2011 - Emery Surette, 65, of Shediac, formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Monday, October 31st, 2011, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Anna (née: Bastarache) Surette. Emery will be remembered as a musician. He played music with numerous musicians, many of which have became great friends. He had an absolute passion for guitars, researched and was well versed on the subject, and ultimately would end up with the models he held in high esteem. He entertained in various locations such Dr. Leon Richard Oncology Centre, special needs and retirement homes. Emery also had a sense of humor and never stopped joking around, even during his illness and until the very end. He is survived by his wife, Ella (née: LeBlanc); two sons: Ricky (Janice) of Saint-Antoine and Martin (Alicia) of Moncton; his cherished granddaughter, Ashley (who shared his same passion for music); four sisters: Lena (late Hugo) Elges of Riverview, Jeannine (late Euclide) Gauvin, Florida (late Valmore) Gagnon and Jeanne (Len) Arsenault, all three of Dieppe as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters: Florence and Claudette and also by three brothers: Yvon, Alyre and Harvey.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, 857-1901, on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Ste-Therese Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Friday, November 4th, 2011 at 1 pm.
