Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on October 31, 2011, Elizabeth (Betty) Murphy, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) Murphy in 1999 and her granddaughter Megan Murphy in 1998, her parents William and Margaret Dalton, her brother William and her sisters: Mary, Madeline and Viola. Leaving to mourn are her children: Elizabeth Crawford (Stead), Marie Armstrong (Frank), Ted (Doris), Carmelita Porter (Stewart), Clare, Don and Gerard (Tina). Also leaving to mourn are Nan’s pride and joy, her grandchildren Michael Crawford (Adrienne Mercer), Andrea Crawford, Katherine French (Stephen) Heather Murphy (Chris Robertson), Mark Murphy, Emma Porter (Mike Peddle), Ian Porter and Michael Murphy and her great-grandchildren: Sophia Manning, Sam and Emily French. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters, brothers and their families, Carmelita Furlong (Ron deceased), Eileen Millacci (John), Walter (Caroline) ,Frank (Dot) and Gloria Harding. The Murphy family would like to thank the staff 4th Floor of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the loving care and support provided to Betty and all the family. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
