The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, of Elmer Joseph Gallant of Tignish, aged 67 years. Brother of John (Mona) Gallant and Gladys Lees, Lower Sackville, N.S. Survived by several nieces and nephews and Elmer’s associate family, Mary (Wayne) Gavin and their children, Kaylee, Greg (Jolene), Maddie-Jo and Kynndi. Predeceased by his parents, Danny and Millie Gallant, and by a brother, Leonard Gallant and a sister Inez. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, until Friday, then to St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
