Eveline Muise, 54 of Cheticamp, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
Beloved wife of Gerald, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Marie Rose (Aucoin) Aucoin.
Eveline will be remembered for her kindness and her unrelented hospitality to family and friends. Her hobbies, baking and cooking would find Eveline in her favourite place “her kitchenâ€. She always made sure she had everyone’s favourite dish on hand. She was also an avid reader. For the last 15 years, she was caregiver to her mother. She was “Ma tante Eveline and Mrs. Santa†to all her nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Church. A member of radio CKJM, Sacred Heart Ladies Auxiliary and the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cheticamp Branch. She was employed at Cheticamp Co-op, Acadian Credit Union and Acrobat Call Centre.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; three brothers, Raymond (Loretta), Timberlea, Didace (Monique), Grand Etang, Gerald (Lyse), Berresford, N.B.; three sisters, Bernice (Teddy) Carrolls, Pictou, Lucille (Clifford) LeLievre, Cheticamp and Yvette (Alex) Carolls, Halifax; two sisters-in-law, Yolande Aucoin and Johanne Aucoin.
Besides her parents, Eveline was predeceased by two brothers, Yvon and Wilfred; one sister, Claudette and brother-in-law, Oneil Labrie.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) at the Cheticamp Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp, Fr. Peter LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
