Passed peacefully away at St Patrick’s Mercy Home on October 29th, 2011, Sheldon Churchill, aged 90 years. Predeceased by his dear wife Irene; brothers: Reginald, Cyril and Weston. Leaving to mourn his son Howard (Jeanette), Ottawa; his beloved granddaughters: Sarah (Matthew Goodman) and Julia; two great-grandchildren: Hannah and Jonah Goodman; brothers: Jim (Ruth) and Ross (Sonia), all of Nfld.; sisters: Mabel Warren (Ernie-deceased), New Brunswick, Gertrude Chafe, and Rita Melendy (Karl), Nfld.; sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Thank you to Jennifer Hill, Joan Coleman and Basil Sears from TLC Nursing and the staff at St Patrick’s Mercy Home for their care and compassion. At Shel’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to meet with his family at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.
