Passed away suddenly at Charlottetown on Thursday, November 3, 2011, of Mr. Basil L. “Sonny” Miller of Charlottetown, in his 77th year.
Beloved husband of Rosemarie Miller (nee Harris), and stepfather of Suzanne Hess, Paul (Joy) Ernest, and Jacqueline (Brian) Blowes. He will also be lovingly remembered by four step-grandchildren Suzanne and Christopher Hess, Leah and Dana Blowes; sisters June McCarville, Anita Ayers, Norma Gillis (Bill) and Eileen Keefe; and brother-in-law Donne Taylor.
He was predeceased by his first wife Betty (nee Stringer); parents, Wesley and Mary Ellen (nee McClarey) Miller; sisters and brothers Shirley MacKay, Gloria Taylor, Ralph Miller and Gerald Miller; brothers-in-law Leo McCarville, Lorne Hennessey, Fred Keefe, Jim Ayers and Claude MacKay.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Tuesday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for memorial mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Basil’s memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I., or Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
