Norma Eloise King
King, Norma Eloise “Bim” – 79, Truro, passed away peacefully in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash surrounded by her family. Born in Campbellton, NB on May 8, 1932, she was the youngest daughter of the late Herbert and Edith (Dennison) Steeves. “Bim” was a member of St. Andrews United Church and the UCW, Truro. She worked for many years at the Arcade Ladies Shoppe in Truro and briefly with the Colchester Regional Hospital Auxiliary.She was a very kind, generous and loving person who enjoyed a good laugh. She is survived by one daughter, Jane (Mike) Peters, Truro; four sons, Alan (Robin), Woodstock, ON, Ross (Bev), Peter (Donna), both of Truro, Bruce (Dawson), Rothesay, NB; six grandchildren, Kristy, Scott, Emily, Alexander, Madison, Benjamin; sister-in-law, Isabel Steeves, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald L.; sister, Frances Bruce; brothers, Emerson and Harold. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6 from 7-9 pm; funeral service on Monday, November 7 at 2 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Jay Ettinger officiating. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
