HILLSIDE – Rachel Euphemia MacIntosh, age 91, formerly of Chance Harbour Road, Hillside, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 in the QEII, VG Site, Halifax.
Born in Hillside, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Harriet (Falconer) MacKean.
She was retired from Goodman Co. Ltd. and worked at the Gun Shop during WW II. She was a member of First United Church, Trenton, U.C.W., was a former Sunday school teacher at Hillside and was a member of the Hillside Seniors Club and Hillside Girls Club.
She is survived by daughter, Katherine, Lower Sackville; sons, Albert (Mabel), Toronto; Barry, Oshawa; grandchildren: Lizanne (Sean), Kathryn, Darryl and Ryan; three great-grandchildren; sister, Harriet (Dean) Llewellyn, Halifax; brother, John, B.C.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry; son Robert Gordon; sister Katherine Sinclair; brothers Willis and Francis.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral service 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the First United Church with Rev. Dr. Ken MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
