Evelyn Edna Cuthbert (nee Potter) passed away at the age of 97 years on November 3, 2011. Evelyn enjoyed a long and prosperous life shared for forty years with her beloved husband, Fred. The two married and worked together on their farm in Mossbank, Saskatchewan, raising three children and eventually retiring to Moose Jaw. In retirement, they spent several years together traveling the world, especially enjoying the sunshine of Florida. Regrettably, Evelyn lost her Fred in 1981. Evelyn is also predeceased by her brothers John, Fred, George and Stanley, sister Hannah, son Brian, grandson Jeff, and daughter-in-law Ruth. Evelyn’s stylish and feisty memory is kept alive by her daughter Edna (Gordie) Wilson of Saskatoon, SK, her son Ron (Susan) Cuthbert of Victoria, BC, sister Doris Nixon of Toronto, ON, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Deep gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Special Needs Unit at Extendicare Moose Jaw for their exemplary care of Mum over the last few years of her life. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at Rosedale Cemetery. For those wishing to join in the procession to the cemetery, please meet at Parkview Funeral Chapel at 10:45 am.
