LIRETTE, JEANNE (Jean) - 1930-2011 – Jeanne (Jean) Lirette of Moncton, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on November 03, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side. A native of St. Édouard de Kent, New Brunswick, she was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Aquilla Lirette, daughter Nora Williams (Yvon), sister Lucina Leblanc (late Gerard), brother Jean-Paul (Marie-Jeanne), Edouard (Andréa) all of St. Édouard as well as her brother Josephat (Bibianne) of Saint-Félicien, Que. She was preceded in death by her brothers Léo and Lorenzo as well as her mother, Ursule (Jaillet) Breau and father Lionel Breau. A long time parishioner of Paroisse Notre Dame de la Paix, Jeanne loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She enjoyed a great many pastimes and was an avid reader before her sight became impaired during the last few years. She remained active, however, occasionally participating with her daughter in community and non-profit activities and taking pleasure in her daily visits with her favourite ‘grand-cats’, Kermit and Petunia.
Funeral services will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, on Tuesday, November 08, 2011 at 7:00 pm, Father Paul Breau presiding. In Jeanne’s memory her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a memorial of the donor's choice.
