January 5, 1911 - October 28, 2009. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2009 at Chancellor Park, in the presence of her family, Mary Elizabeth O’Keefe Nelson (Bessie), age 98 years. Second eldest and last surviving child of Michael and Mary Ellen O’Keefe. She was predeceased by her siblings Kitty, Frank, Mary, Mike, Marg and Lar, also her nephews Bob Healey and John O’Keefe. Aunt Bessie was loved and will be missed by the O’Keefe, Healy, Healey and Royle families. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Friday, October 30 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 31 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Cremation to follow with inurnment at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Church.
