DEMINGS, Margaret Marie, 86. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Roseway Hospital in Sandy Point. Born on November 3, 1924 in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Jean (Farley) Moore. Margaret was the oldest of three siblings by whom she was predeceased by her brother Gilbert and her sister Phyllis. Being born and raised and living in Niagara Falls she worked at many different jobs. This is also where she met and married the love of her life Malcolm James Demings. After having two children they moved to Thompson, Manitoba where she worked for the CN Railroads for many years before moving to Shelburne, N.S. After raising her family she moved to Halifax, N.S. where she lived out the remainder of her life. Margaret was a very strong and independent woman who enjoyed her family. She took great pride in being a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She lived for her children and grandchildren, they were her life. She spent her time spoiling and loving them, they gave each other much joy. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed celebrating the holidays with her family. She has left many great memories and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her two daughters Tammy Demings (Shelley Jarvis) Victoria, B.C., Wanda Demings (Leon Hemeon) Ohio, Shelb. Co., five grandchildren, Amber, Chance, Jesse, Jarryd & Carter, two great grandchildren Khiara & Braxton.
