MERLINI, SHASTA A.A. - The death of Shasta Merlini of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital of Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at the age of 54. Born in Picton, ON on April 5th, 1957, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne (Campbell) Abbott, and wife of Giovanni Merlini. Shasta will be missed by her husband, Giovanni; son, Marco; step-daughters, Anna, Elda and Laura; brother, Glendon Abbott and his wife, Sandra as well as their daughters, Anna and Alexa. In addition to her parents, Shasta was predeceased by her son, Patrick. Shasta was a Geoscience Editor for the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy and a passionate photographer.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York St. on Sunday, November 13th from 2 to 5 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Monday, November 14th, 2011 at 12 noon with Fr. Monte Peters officiating. Interment will be in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery, Oromocto. Family flowers only please.
