Shearer Sr., Elmer Robert – 69, Belmont passed away at home late Friday evening, November 4, 2011. Born in Lower Onslow, he was a son of Florence (Blackmore) and the late Alexander Shearer. He worked and later retired from Agromart Ltd., Onslow. Elmer enjoyed hunting and bass fishing but his favorite times were spent 4-wheeling with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret (Muise); children, Dale (Heather), Jerry, Elmer (Sonya), Barb, Carol Anne, Anita, Joanne (Fred); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Teddy (Marg), Roach (Leona), Russell, Alex, Geordie, Eric (Donna); sister, Terry Lynn (Kevin). He was predeceased by son, Terry; grandsons, Austan and Dustan; brothers, Curtis and Perry. No visitation by request. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 2 pm in Belmont Cemetery with Pastor Steve Adams officiating.
