MARY KRAUS

MRS. MARY KRAUS passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Mary was born in Hodgeville where she received her education. She was raised on the family farm and worked at the Municipal Office in Hodgeville, Sears in Regina and the Post Office in Moose Jaw. After marrying Robert in 1945, they farmed at Hodgeville and Tompkins, later moving to Moose Jaw. Mary was a devoted mother and an excellent baker and cook. She was also a seamstress, loved gardening, golf, curling and dancing. In later years, she and Robert enjoyed many winters in Mesa, Arizona. Predeceased by her parents, William and Julia, her husband, Robert, brother, William; sisters: Louisa and Nellie, Mary is survived by her daughters: Carol (Bob) Trumbley – Saskatoon, Maxine (Allan) MacLeod – Cold Lake, and Brenda (Randy) Lear – Regina; grandchildren: Jana (Paul) McGonigal, Erin (Blake) Cumming, Mark Trumbley, Michael MacLeod, Janelle (Michael) Rogers, Michelle Lear and great-grandchild, Liam McGonigal, as well as many other relatives. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the W. J. Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Fr. Rick Krofchek will preside. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday evening (Nov. 9) at 7p.m. at the Funeral Home. Flowers are gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, #301 – 1550, 12th Avenue, Regina, Sask., S4P 3X1 or to a charity of one’s choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Dautremont and the staff of St. Vincent and Guardian Grove at Providence Place for the care and attention Mary received while there.
