GAHAN, THOMAS FREDERICK - At York Manor Nursing Home on Monday, November 7, 2011 Thomas Frederick Gahan, after a lengthy battle with his health, passed away at the age of 68. Born in Morrissey Settlement, NB, he was a son of the late Mark and Katherine (Williston) Gahan. Thomas spent his working years as an independent truck driver. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, to whom he was married just shy of 50 years; a son Winslow Miles (Janice) of Maugerville; a daughter Anna Marie Colpitts (Bruce) of Fredericton; seven grandchildren Daniel Gahan ( Katie-Jo) of Fredericton, Mark Gahan (Samantha) of Oromocto, Candace McFarlane (Matthew) of North West River, Labrador, Meaghan Colpitts of Fredericton, Christy Collins (Dan) of Calgary, AB, Adriane Colpitts and Alexander Colpitts both of Fredericton; three brothers Harold (Annie) and Raymond (Sandra) all of Burton, Charlie (Opal) of Fredericton; two sisters Dorothy Burrell (Raymond) of Windsor, ON, Kate Cormier (Gerald) of Mississauga, ON; two great grandsons Isaiah and Mason Gahan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by brothers John, Irvine, Joe, Randall and a sister Kelsie Carr and infant brothers George and Mark.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1045 St. Mary’s Street Fredericton on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Claude Gilks officiating.
