Stan was born in Kamsack, SK. on June 11, 1946. He spent several years on the prairies and attended the University of Manitoba before heading west to Kamloops in 1975. Stan has been a long time employee of Sears in Kamloops, a career for over 30 years meeting and interacting with the public and his customers.

An avid gardener, Stan could be found in the backyard most summers tending to his garden and cross country skiing in the winters. Stan enjoyed spending time with his family including hiking, camping and walking the river trails with the family Schnauzer Sundy.

When I am gone,
release me, let me go ...
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself
to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.

Special thanks to the supportive and compassionate staff at the cancer clinic, community care program and Hospice House and to Drs. A. Avanessian and D. Ritenburg.

A Celebration of Stan's life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street, with Pastor Don Tyler officiating.
