Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen’s Home, Carbonear on Thursday, October 29, 2009, Dorothy A. Swain of Carbonear, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband William Edmund, sister Rella, brother Clyde, niece Inez Moores, nephews Graham Butt and Allan Budden. Leaving to mourn nieces: Daphne Colbourne, Carbonear, Dola Callan, Long Cove and Cheryl (Byron) Briggs, St. John’s; brother-in-law Bertram (Verna) Swain, Carbonear, a number of great-nieces and great-nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, November 1 at 2 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
