Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, Leslie Penney of Lethbridge, age 84 years. Predeceased by sister Millicent Russell, brothers Isaac, Charles and Augustus. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Margaret of 60 years; daughters: Amanda Penney (Leroy), Madonna Hussey (Ross) and Marie Law (Ian); sons: Kevin (Beth) and Keon (Jean); sisters: Myrtle Peddle and Margaret Chislett; brothers: Dorman (Mary) and Mansfield (Louise); sister-in-law Joan Denne; brother-in-law Dick Hopkins; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge with interment to follow at United Cemetery, Lethbridge.
