Hilda Naylor

Hilda Mary Naylor passed away on November 7, 2011, at Spring Pointe Memory Care Facility in Grants Pass, OR. Hilda was a daughter of John Adelbert and Victoria Michel Engel and was born in Regina, SK, on December 6, 1915. She married Gilbert Earl Naylor on September 29, 1937. From this union six children were born. She lived most of her life in Regina and Swift Current, SK, moving to Radcliffe, IA, in 1960. Hilda was a member of the United Church of Canada and a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Upon moving the USA, she transferred her membership to St. John’s Methodist Church, where she was a member of the UMW and served as treasurer. She was a member of Harmony Club, a member of Radcliffe Senior Citizens and Hardin County Area on Aging. She and Gil were also charter members of Radcliffe Friendly Fairways Golf Club. Hilda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gil in 2005, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and twin infant children, Jan and Gene. Surviving are her loving children, Sandra Kemper of Grants Pass, OR, Dale (Beth) Naylor of Denver, CO, and Mesa, AZ, Clayton (Jackie) Naylor of Milan, IL, and Susan Naylor of Mesa, AZ; her brother Edward Engel of Calgary, AB; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and six great, great grandchildren. The family also wishes to thank the entire staff of Spring Pointe Memory Care for the loving home you provided for Mom for the past nine years. Also, thanks to Lovejoy Hospice for making Mom’s transition an easy and caring time fir both Mom and the family. A private family service will be held in Radcliffe, IA, at a later date.
