March 31, 1938 - November 7, 2011

Bruce passed away on November 7, 2011 at the age of 73 after a short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife and best friend Anne, stepson Brent (Dajana) Ross, sister Diane McCarthy, nephew Lando (Jen) McCarthy, niece Lesley (Ryan) Spencer, great nephews Seth Spencer and Linden McCarthy, sister-in-law Barbara Gardiner and his two cats Jed & Shelly.

He was predeceased by his father Harry Gardiner, mother Kathleen Merrick and brother Bryon Gardiner.

Bruce served in the Royal Canadian Airforce and then spent most of his career in the hospitality industry.

He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking around the hills and getting wood. He had a special passion for the mountains and spent many hours fishing at the Shuswap with his buddy Don.

Special thanks to the staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Center and Dr. Yanko who is without doubt a remarkable, caring doctor. A big "THANK YOU" to family and friends whose support was invaluable during this difficult time.

There will be no service by request.
