KANE, Dorothy Alberta, 93, of East Jordan passed away at Roseway Hospital on Sunday, October 30, 2011. Born in Rockland on November 4, 1918, she was a daughter of the late William and Stacia (MacKenzie-Decker) Munroe. Dorothy enjoyed her home life and cooking for her family. Dorothy loved to quilt, and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Dorothy was an avid hunter and she loved fishing and camping. She was a member of the Jordan Falls Rebecca Lodge #127 and the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Jordan Falls where she was a choir member. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Mae (Alan) Cotter, East Green Harbour, son Lawrence “Jerry” (Judy) of East Jordan, grandchildren, Kimberley, Jay, James, Jason, Charles, Charlene, Colin, Tina, Tony, Tammy and Wendy, and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, son Charlie, brothers, St. Clair, Terrance, Lawrence, Arnold and Clifford, sister, Roberta Harding. A funeral service was held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Jordan Falls with Rev. Norma Mitchell officiating. Interment took place at the Lake John Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Rebecca Lodge or charity of choice.
