Doucette, Leo Joseph, 75, Truro, passed away November 1, 2009 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Medrick and Edna Doucette. Leo spent 27 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, stationed at CFB Gagetown, NB for most of his career. He was an avid sports fan and truly loved curling. He lived to dance and had an outgoing, carefree personality with a zest for life. He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed being the life of the party. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Sheldon), Geary, NB; sons, Michael (Jenny), Newmarket, On, Anthony (Alma), Windsor, On; sisters, Rosemary, Glace Bay, NS, Marjorie, Dominion, NS, Sylvia, Toronto, On; grandchildren, Joel, Shannon, Jessi, Jamie, Julie; companion, Ann Green, Truro. He was predeceased by brother, James. A time of visitation and reception to celebrate Leo’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 10 a.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
