Dawn Sacobie
SACOBIE, DAWN MARIE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dawn Marie Sacobie of Kingsclear First Nation, on November 9, 2011 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 41. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of Jean Sacobie and Donald Atwin. Dawn Marie was well known in all communities, including the state of Maine with her help in all community functions. She was a social butterfly with many friends. She was very involved in pow wows, bead making, singing (especially in the church choir), dancing, love of country music and being a great fan of the Country Jamboree. Dawn Marie loved playing softball as well as all sports. She will be missed by all who knew her. Besides her mother and father she is survived by a brother Malcolm Sabattis (Bernie) of Kingsclear; a sister Roberta Meuse (Steve) of St. Mary’s; special niece Mandy Meuse (Steven); special nephew Kyle Sacobie (Liza); great nephew Kaleb; her special friend her dog Baby. She also had two big sisters Liz Richard and Donna McCarthy; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by a sister Mary Ann Sacobie.
Resting at 208 Tomahawk Extension, Kingsclear First Nation beginning at 2:00 PM both Saturday, November 12, 2011 and Sunday, November 13, 2011. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM from St. Ann’s Kingsclear Catholic Church. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. The family would like to thank her special niece Mandy, who was with her Auntie Dawn every day at palliative care, also all the nurses who attended to Dawn Marie.
