BOUNTALAS, MARY EVANTHIA - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving wife and mother, Mary Evanthia (Lahanas) Bountalas on November 09, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 23, 1932 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Mary was the daughter of the late Anthony and Cleopatra Lahanas. She is survived by her husband Demetre Bountalas, brother Spero Lahanas, sons Jonathan Bountalas (Marilyn), Tony Bountalas (Carol), Michael Bountalas (Krista) all from Saint John, George Bountalas (Denise) of Vancouver, BC, three granddaughters Mary, Celina and Dimitra. She was pre-deceased by son Peter Bountalas.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Saturday, November 12 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Sunday, November 13 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 14 at 11:00 AM at St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 33 Dorchester Street, Saint John. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
