June 19, 1923 - November 9, 2011

After a wonderful life Mom passed in the most peaceful of ways, surrounded by family and friends, to forever dance with Dad.

She is survived by her children Dawn (Dick) Kruysifix, Ted (Gerri) Blackwell, Art (Brenda) Blackwell, Janet (Mark) DeGuglielmo, daughter-in-law Joy Blackwell. Grandchildren Rob (Char), Cheryl (Ryan), Laura (Ryan), Catherine (Eric), Chris, Andrew, Erin, Julia (Gaetano), Joe (Morgan). Great grandchildren Mackenzie, Kennedy, Eric, Andrea, Mathew, Reid, Emily, Layne, Jakob, Kai and Olivia. Siblings Bud (Grace) Fennell, Winnie Pigeon, and a large extended family of nieces and nephews, countless friends old and new, she loved them all.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur, oldest son David, and Grandson Tod.

Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Rancher, Volunteer, Mentor and most valuable Friend; these are just a few of the very many hats that she wore throughout her life. She had the most wonderful laugh and smile that was infectious - anyone that met her was drawn to her. Her faith and joy of life are what sustained her in the hard times. Dancing, singing and the little ball on the golf course brought her great joy and laughter.

We will be ever grateful to the friends in her life; old and the very new.

Thank you to Dr. Scott Montgomery, the Ponderosa Day Program, the Handi-Dart staff, and the nurses and staff of 7 North, 3 West, and the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in June's name to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C. or to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice.

A Celebration of June's life will be held on Tuesday, November 15th, 2011 at St. Paul's Cathedral at 1:30 p.m. with the Very Reverend Louise Peters officiating.
