The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, October 31, 2009, of Mrs. Edna T. Carriere (nee Sheehan) of Millcove in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Ray Carriere and dear mother of Richard (Heather), Charlene, Carolyne and Darryl. Edna is also survived by eight loving grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leo (Judy) Sheehan, Eleanor (Donnie Carson) Sheehan, Wanda MacDonald, Gail (Gerry) MacPhee and David (Karen) Sheehan, and sister-in-law Gayle Sheehan. She was predeceased by her parents Hazelton and Ida (Watts) Sheehan and her brother, Russell. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Tuesday morning then transferred to St. Michael’s Church, Corran Ban, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the family plot in the parish cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre.
