It is with great sadness that the family of the late Laurance Smith announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Centre on Saturday, October 31st, 2009, at the age of 77 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ellen; his four sons: Jim (Sandra) in Calgary, AB, Larry in Brampton Ont., Carl in Kentville, NS and Albert (Kathleen) in St. Albert AB; his daughter, Holly (Brian) White in Grand Prairie, AB, along with his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother William Whitehead in Michigan, his sister Holly Whitehead in Michigan, along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 339 Queen Street, in Stephenville. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later time. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
