Surrounded by her loving family in her 87th year, it is with great sadness the passing of Rita Marie Arsenault of Abram-Village was announced on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at the Summerset Manor, Summerside. Born on Nov. 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joe Tanise and the late Celina Arsenault. She was the wife of the late Alyre Arsenault. Loving mother of Bella (Melvin) Bernard, Rose (Mack) Baglole, Charlottetown; Alice (Paul) Perry, Fidèle (Claire) Arsenault, Robert Arsenault, Pierre (Rose) Arsenault, Alphonse (Sandra) Arsenault, Diane (Elmer) Gallant, Alfred (Ann) Arsenault, Leonce (Marj) Arsenault and Paulette (Roger) Arsenault. Survived by 28 grandchildren and also 30 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Ida Gallant, Anna Goguen, Avola (Elmer) Gallant and Evelyne (Faustin) Gallant. Survived by in-laws Denise Arsenault, Jeanne Arsenault, Edmond (Melda) Arsenault and Laura Arsenault. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Etienne Arsenault, Leo J.T. Arsenault, Tilmon Arsenault, Thérèse Arsenault, Marie Léger and Clement Arsenault. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church Egmont Bay. Interment in church cemetery Egmont Bay. Visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home or Le Chez-Nous would be greatly appreciated.
