(1915-2009) — Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on November 1st, 2009. James Rose age 94 years formerly of Red Island Placentia Bay and Freshwater Placentia Bay. Predeceased by his wife Mary (2004), infant daughter Ann Marie (1959), daughter Madonna (West) (2002). Leaving to mourn his daughter Kitty (Harold) Bruce, Calgary, AB. Sons: Bernard (Judy), Brantford, ON; Jim (Mary Theresa), St. John’s; Bill (Pat), St. John’s. Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Also a number of relatives and friends, especially his friends at Karwood Retirement Center (Paradise). Special thanks to nurses and doctors at St. Clare’s and the staff at Karwood. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia, Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater Placentia Bay on Wednesday November 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Freshwater.
