Passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 14, 2011, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Susanna Andrews (nee Hill), aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Captain Maxwell Andrews, her four brothers and three sisters. Left to celebrate her life and to cherish her memory are her son: Derrick (Debby Niles) Andrews; two daughters: Wanece (Eric) Taylor and Jean (John) Butler; eight grandchildren: Gina (George) Pickett, Julie (Jeff) Winsor, Sherry (Derrick) Petten, Paul Taylor, Andrew (Danielle Long) Taylor, Deanna Butler (Sean Simmons), Mark Butler (Deidre Vincent) and David Butler; Seven great-grandchildren: Michael, Alicia, Frances, Julienne, Georgia, Brody and Nevaeh along with two great-great-grandchildren: Jazmine and Layla; brother-in-law Clifford (Joan) Andrews; two sisters-in-law: Jean Colbourne and Martha Andrews; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cambridge Estates, Chancellor Park and 5 East St. Clare’s for the kindness and compassion shown to their mother during her stay. A special thank you to family and friends who called and visited her regularly. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday November 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday November 16th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at St. James United Church on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susie’s memory may be made to St. James United Church Memorial Fund or to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund.
