Originally from Newtown (Bonavista Bay) and Wabush, passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family and friends, on November 14, 2011, Carrie Templeman, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (2008), special grandson Neal Simon (2006), sisters: Greta and Rose, and brother Max. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, daughters: Doreen (David Simon), Rosalyn (Greg Gosse), Peggy (Pat Marrie); sons: Leonard (Olive), Gordon Jr. (Sandra); grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, Ashley, Amanda, Philip, Jonathan, and Victoria; great-granddaughter Aaliyah; brother Ben Perry (Julie); sisters-in-law: Evelyn (Val), and Linda (Ken); brothers-in-law: Edward Leonard, and Vernon Simmons; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends - including special friends Chesley and Julia Gill. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Topsail United Cemetery.
