It is with great sadness that the family of the late Envoy Douglas Edward Hayward announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the age of 83 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Pansy and two sons: Bryan (Sharon) of Montreal and Fraser (Mary) of Brampton, Ontario; one daughter, Cathy (Gary) Ash of Stephenville; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Clara Hayward and his sister, Pina Baker. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel, 147 Hansen Highway, Stephenville with Majors Roy and Louise Perry officiating. Interment will take place at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
