MALTAIS, MARIE ELIANNE (LILLY) - 1922-2011 - The death of Elianne Violette (Maltais) occurred on November 13, 2011 at the York Manor Nursing Home, in Fredericton. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Maltais and the late Louise Belanger and wife of the late Murillo Violette. She was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ladies' Auxiliary, Edmundston Branch. Survived by her children: Murillo Jr. (Lise) of Quispamsis, Paulette Kempton (Phil) of Cow Bay, Donald (Pierrette) of Lavaltrie, Richard of Sherbrooke, Jean-Louis (France) of la Pocatière, Gilman (Janis) of Fredericton et Véronica of Saint-Jacques ; 14 grand children and 11 great-grand children; her sisters Marie-Paule Martin, Fernande Collin (Gérald) and Odette Thibodeau. She was predeceased by her five brothers Albert, Laurent, Henry, Norman, Nelson and her sisters Yvette Ouellette and Cécille St. Pierre.
The funeral mass will be held at the Edmundston Cathedral at 2pm on Thursday, November 17, 2011. Visitation will be at 1pm at the same location. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the York Foundation Inc, 100 Sunset Drive, Fredericton, E3A 1A3.
